when an smime encrypted message comes in the mpa log shows some kind of id (maybe hash or serial) of the used certificate, if decryption fails in case of missing decryption certificate. I wonder if it might be also possible to get an id of the successfully used certificate if decryption was possible. Currently this is not shown for now. Is this maybe already part of another configurable log level?
iI have set up a new host for migration. Unfortunately it is not possible to import a backup from the old ciphermail with the restore function via the GUI. The error message is:
You must correct the following errors before you may continue.
System password is invalid
The system password used is the root password of the debian 10 system.
The old System: Version 4.8.0-0 Build 2020-05-19-13:37 / Debian 9
The new System:Version 4.12.0-0 Build 2020-11-17-11:2 / Debian 10
Thanks for Help!
normally on an Apple Device (Ipad, Iphone) a signed incoming mail is shown with a small black icon with an arrow.
If i sent a mail with a valid cert trough the gateway the message in the inbox will not have this icon, but clients like outlook or gmail says that the mail is signed correctly.
If i import the cert to my client and send the same mail with client-side-signing the black icon is showing.
Is there any setting at the gateway which will make the trouble, maybe use another signing algorithm or anything else ?
Thank a lot for any helping,
