New releases of the CipherMail Pro/Enterprise Email Encryption Gateway
and Webmail Messenger are available. They contain some new features,
most notably elliptic curve (EC) support for PGP and reminder
functionality in the Webmail Messenger, as well as some internal
library updates and other improvements.
CipherMail Email Encryption Gateway 4.10.0 release notes:
* PGP EC support added. EC keys can now be generated. The gateway can
now use EC keys for encryption and decryption.
* PGP option "Auto select signing algorithm" added. This is enabled by
default.
* BC jars updated to 1.67.
* The back-end project is now called ciphermail-core (for backward
compatibility the deb and rpm package name will not change)
* The source code of ciphermail-core is now mirrored on
https://gitlab.com/ciphermail/ciphermail-core.
* start.sh removed. To start the back-end locally for development, use
the ant start-back task.
* EJBCA config is now moved to it's own file (ejbca-certificate
request-handler.xml).
* For unit testing/development a docker compose file is added which
starts a Postgres, MariaDB and SKS docker.
* ciphermail-core added as a sub module [PRO/ENT].
* unbound and openldap docker added for unit testing [PRO/ENT].
* Sun PKCS11 provider was changed from Java 8 to Java 11 in a non
backward compatible way. Because we never used the Sun PKCS#11
provider, we removed the code [ENT].
CipherMail Webmail Messenger 3.4.0 release notes:
* BC jars updated to 1.67.
* Roundcube updated to 1.4.9
* Unread email notification added. If enabled, it will periodically
check if a user has unread mail. If so, a notification will be sent.
* Logo color changed to match new color scheme.
* Unread email notification paged added.
* Templates are now sorted (with the exception of custom templates
which always come at the end)
